Heinlein Sparks Controversy at European Grand Prix

With the conclusion of the eighth race of the season Christopher Heinlein won his sixth victory of the season. While his dominace was sure to ruffle some feathers no one expected the reaction that came from one of his own teammates. CJ, driver of the #76 HAAS, was involved in an incident (slight tire contact) with Heinlein on the second lap causing him to spin out and be collected by several other cars, taking him out of the race. This caused CJ to become very vocal over Heinlein's aggresive driving style which caused several incidents between the two drivers already this season and called for his win to be disqualified. While one team (Inline Motors, whom Heinlein also had an on track incident with) did back CJ the majority of teams voted to let the race stand. Christopher Heinlein openly admitted to blocking CJ, which let to the contact, and issued and apology but it was too little too late for CJ who demanded to be allowed to switch teams imediatly despite it already being mid season. Heinlein relucantly agreed on the terms that CJ could not under any circumstances discuss any plans made by Spectre Racing for the 2017 seasons. CJ has already agreed to race for Inline Motors in the #70 Mercedes in F1 and the #70 Toyota Camery in NASCAR. "This is a big blow to the team." comments Christopher. "CJ is one of the best racers I've had on the team, he even won the 2016 NASCAR Online Championship. One of the biggest issues is finding his replacment with such a short time span. I just hope they will be able to adjust to the team in time to run for a Championship in 2017." Soon afterwards former driver and two time champion Michel agreed to return from retirement. Michel will run the #90 Ferrari in F1 and the #90 Sprectre Designs Chevrolet SS in NASCAR for Heinlein Motors while rookie driver David will move from the team Heinlein Motors over to Spectre Racing to run full time in the #76 car for NASCAR while William will take over the empty spot for Spectre Racing in F1, running the #75 HAAS.

Heinlein Backs Out of Retirement

Christopher Heinlein announced today that he will no longer be looking to retire from online racing. At the end of the 2015 NASCAR Online Championship Christopher announced that he was going to retire from online racing and take a more managerial role in the team, however his plans changed when the manager of Heinlein Motorsports, who was going to be Heinlein's replacement, decided to start his own team (Inline Motors) and left Heinlein Motorsports all together. This caused Christopher to race part time in the 2016 NASCAR season, allowing him to once again make a run for the Championship. Although finishing second in points this has made Christopher to think more on retiring and has caused him to reconsider his stance. "When I made that announcement last year I was in a tough spot. I really didn't have the time or energy to race full time and I wanted to make sure that the team didn't face another possible fold up like in 2014 but now things are different. I have a lot less stress and much more time on my hands these days and I couldn't even dream of not racing full time in 2017. Heinlein will once again run the #85 Chevrolet SS for the 2017 NASCAR Online Championship and will also race in the 2017 Formula One Online Championship in the #85 HAAS.

Christopher Heinlein Looks to F1 Championship

With a runner up finish in the NASCAR Online Championship and the possibility of not being able to participate in the 2017 season Christopher Heinlein is currently focusing on the 2016 F1 Online Championship. Deciding to run in a Haas for Spectre Racing, and again using the #85, Christopher is be one of 22 drivers participating in the 2016 Championship. This also represents the first time that teammates from the NASCAR series are racing as a separate competing team, with the other using both Ferrari cars for Heinlein Motors. Christopher Heinlein is already off to a good start winning the opening race of the season, but his rival competitor team in the Mercedes are hot on his tail having finished second and third.

Spectre Racing Claims 2016 NASCAR Spectre Guitars Online Championship

Four cars, 400 laps, one championship.  It's a race that every NASCAR racer wants to win, a trophy every driver wants to hoist, and a cup that everyone covets.  With three cars in the final four and all three starting in the top five things were looking good for the team.  Each driver was pushing themselves and their cars to the limit, and each considered themselves a lone wolf for this race.  No thoughts about teams, teammates or points, just one trophy.  From the drop of the green flag all eyes were on the driver who won the pole for the race, five time championChristopher Heinlein, driver of the #85 Spectre Guitars Chevrolet SS, going for his fourth consecutive championship.  His teammates, CJ in the #76 and Andy in the #80, were hot on his tail trying to win their own first championships for Spectre Racing.  One other car, the #70 of Inline Motors, Spectre Guitars rival team, was also running for his third career championship.  The race ran relatively smooth until lap 144 when the #70 car blew a right front tire, causing a wreck with the #28 car, and while his car was able to continue the wreck effectively ended his run for the championship.  Another incident, on lap 273, had the #52 car smash into the #80 car, ending the race for both cars.  With only 120 laps left, only two cars were left running for the championship, causing the tension to rise.  Each car swapped the lead several times through the rest of the race, but the #85 was showing a strong run.  Ten laps to go, the end of a long run, each car running on worn tires and light fuel, the #76 car was in the lead with the #85 rubbing his bumper through every turn.  Then with only four laps to go the #85 started running the top line of the track, causing both cars to run side by side lap after lap.  Two laps left and the #85 went into turn 1 once again on the high line, however the #99 got loose on the bottom and slid up the track into the #85 car.  The contact caused the #85 into the wall, and while the contact was light it was enough to allow the #76 to gain enough of a lead to win the race, and the championship.  While Christopher was glad his team won it's fifth consecutive championship, he was disappointed about his finish.  "To be knocked out of the championship by a rookie, and one of your own teammates non the less certainly hurts but I am glad for CJ and the #76 team.  They deserve this win and the championship.  They gave me a competitor, a championship run that I haven't had in a long time.  It was hard fought all around."  This championship win brings Spectre Racing's total NASCAR Online Championships to eight.
