Spectre Racing's History
Spectre Racing was established in 2010, a separate team from Heinlein Motors as a home for the street racing style of drivers who didn't race well with others. In late 2010 a sister team was formed to pursue an online presence in all other none professional racing style games. This team was sponsored by Christopher's guitar company "Spectre Guitars" and was therefore named Spectre Racing. Starting in Need For Speed: Pro Street Spectre Racing quickly became extremely popular with Heinlein Motors other drivers and eventually eclipsed Heinlein Motors's presence in the online racing community. This caused the decision to have Spectre Racing join in the NASCAR game franchise in 2011 as a full time sister team to help train drivers for seats in Heinlein Motors cars. This also caused a big internal rivalry between Heinlein Motors and Spectre Racing in NASCAR games, with each team always trying to out race each other.
In 2012 while Spectre Racing was beginning to flourish Heinlein Motors was having its most difficult time in its history. Drivers were slowly leaving to move on to other things, the team was hosting less and less races and was becoming more of a burden to maintain than the team was worth. In early 2013 Heinlein Motors had lost almost all of its drivers and was hosting only one race a month. The team eventually suspended all race teams except for the Grid game series where one driver casually raced until mid 2014 when he left the team completely.
In 2014 with Heinlein Motors's drivers gone and only having a presence in Grid games it was decided to merge Heinlein Motors and Spectre Racing. Keeping the name Spectre Racing the team now has a presence across several racing games and is sponsored by several Heinlein Incorporated subsidiaries. Spectre Racing is currently focusing on marketing it's NASCAR and F1 teams divisions as well as its continued support of its "Race for the Cure" Breast Cancer fund raising races.
